It is expected we will be closed until at least May 2023 when the first phase of work will be complete with the works being fully completed by Summer 2023.
Like many buildings that were built for a specific purpose in the second half of the Twentieth Century, Gosforth Civic Theatre is reaching the end of its first cycle of useful life.

Renew the roof - Keep the building open by making it fit for purpose.
Increase energy efficiency - Reducing the carbon footprint of the building.
