Every week Gosforth Civic Theatre has great activities for up to 18-year-olds (up to 24 if you have additional needs), from a Gospel choir to contemporary dance.

GCT Gaming Social

Tuedays during term time, under 11s 4.30pm - 6pm, 12 - 24s 6pm - 8pm.
Free or pay what you can per term

Gaming Social is a place where gamers can come together to play our huge range of consoles with their friends.


We started our in-person Gaming Social in 2018 as a way for people who love gaming to get together and socialise over something we’re all passionate about. We've amassed a collection of games and consoles, from Mega Drive, Spectrum, and NES to VR and PS5 and loads in between. We also have regular tournaments of Super Smash Bros on our big screen!

Curious Youth Music

Every other Tuesday during term time, 5.30pm - 8.30pm, free.​

Curious Youth Music is a group for LGBTQIA+ musicians and aspiring producers aged 12-19.  Led by Curious Arts, Curious Youth Music is an inclusive session to share your passion for music with fellow music fans. Come along to our meet-ups and have jam sessions, develop your song writing and work with professional musicians. Delivered by Curious Arts.

SEND Contemporary Dance

Wednesdays during term time, 4pm - 5pm, free.

Our Contemporary Dance Class is open to young people with learning disabilities who enjoy dance, all you have to do is turn up! Led by a qualified contemporary dance teacher, beginners contemporary is perfect for those wishing to attend a fun class which will leave you feeling energised, inspired and worked out! For ages 14 - 24 years.  Delivered by GCT.

Digital Sparks Club: Photography

Wednesdays during term time, 4.30pm - 6pm (7-10 years) & 6.15pm - 7.45pm (11-18 years)
£165 per 12 week term.​

Join us and learn the secrets of great photography. You’ll learn how to take stunning photos, edit like a pro and become a master storyteller. Whether you're passionate about photographing people, animals, landscapes, or food, our photography courses have something for everyone. You'll meet other creative young people who share your passion, boosting your confidence and have fun along the way. Delivered by Digital Sparks.

Digital Sparks Club: Stop Frame Animation

Thursdays during term time, 4.30pm - 6pm (7-10 years) & 6.15pm - 7.45pm (11-18 years)
£165 per 12 week term.

Join our stop-motion animation workshops and learn to animate with drawings, puppets, claymation and more. Whether you're a budding artist or a tech-savvy kid, our workshops are perfect for you. You'll learn essential animation techniques, from storyboarding to editing, while having fun and making new friends. Sign up today! Delivered by Digital Sparks. 

North East Deaf Youth Theatre

Third Saturday every month,
9.30am - 11.30am, free.
 

Join us for monthly North East Deaf Youth Theatre workshops! Designed for deaf children and young people aged 5 - 12 years, North East Deaf Youth Theatre explores all aspects of theatre-making including, creative writing, storytelling, acting, lighting and backstage skills to create group productions to share with friends and family. Delivered by Unfolding Theatre.

Sundays during term time, 9am - 5.30pm

Whether you’re content to sing into your hairbrush or have serious ambitions to make it in the industry, Famous 4.15 has something for you. We offer a range of classes for children and young people who want to develop their performance skills and have a good time.

​

Since 2001, Famous415 has offered real-life industry experience to give everyone their chance to shine. And we’re talking about being both in front of, and behind, the camera.

​

Our main focus is on live performances but in addition to those we provide a whole host of exciting opportunities including workshops, master classes, collaborations and Trinity College London Examinations.
